The Canadian Arthritis Network (CAN) is a research network funded under the Networks of Centres of Excellence program.
Since 1998, CAN has facilitated the creation, translation and transfer of arthritis research to produce benefits to people with arthritis, their families and Canadian society.
With over 200 member researchers, CAN has brought the arthritis research community together around a new culture of multi-sectoral, multi-disciplinary arthritis research that includes people living with arthritis (consumers) to develop meaningful solutions in arthritis.
In 2012, CAN transitioned to a new phase - The Legacy Phase. This phase will focus on mobilizing CAN’s expertise and discoveries and work to sustain its most valuable programs. CAN will be showcasing the results and impact of its research programs through innovative mechanisms.
